Benefits of Psychotherapy

We all experience times when life’s challenges overwhelm us, moments when our capacity to derive adequate support from our usual modes of coping fails. During these periods, our desire for happiness, love, growth, peace, stability, safety, and meaning may seem out of reach, generating such reactions as confusion, fear, sadness, hopelessness, and anger. Psychotherapy can provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive context in which you can develop greater self-awareness, and experiment with effective behavioral change that can reduce your distress and lead to a more satisfying life.

Psychotherapy can also be extremely useful for individuals who are fairly content and satisfied with their overall level of functioning, but believe they could benefit from a deeper personal exploration. Such an inquiry might include deepening one’s self-knowledge, self-acceptance, sense of purpose, connection to self and others, and awareness of and commitment to personal values.

Regardless of whether your struggles are mild or acute, or represent recent of long-standing issues, I aim to co-create experiences that increase your capacity to face life's difficulties and sense of well-being.
